How to hack unconnected wifi Password using CMD
It is not ethical, legal, or safe to attempt to hack into someone else's wireless network without their permission. Hacking into someone's wireless network without their consent is a crime in most jurisdictions, and can lead to severe penalties such as fines and even prison time. Additionally, attempting to hack into someone's network can cause damage or disruption to the network, and may even compromise your own security.
Instead of hacking, it would be better to ask the network owner or administrator for the password or look for a public wireless network that you can connect to legally.
Also, it's important to note that there is no way to hack into a wireless network using the Command Prompt or any other command-line interface in Windows. These tools are designed for diagnostic and troubleshooting purposes, and can only show information about networks that you are currently connected to or have previously connected to.
It's not safe to attempt hacking into another network without permission and it could lead to serious consequences. And also keep in mind, hacking is illegal and punishable by law.
Best way to find Wi-Fi Passwords
There are a few different ways to find the password for a wireless network, depending on your situation and the device you're using.
Please note that some of the methods above may not be applicable depending on the device and the settings you are using and also some methods may require administrator permissions. Also, keep in mind that it is illegal to access or share the password of a wireless network without the owner's permission.
- If you're currently connected to the network and you're using a Windows PC, you can use the command-line interface (CLI) to view the password. I just explained the process in my last answer.
- If you're using a Mac, you can view the password for a wireless network you're currently connected to by going to the "Keychain Access" app, searching for the name of the network, and double-clicking on the entry to view the password.
- If you're not currently connected to the network and you're using a Windows PC, you can use a third-party tool to view the saved wireless network passwords. One popular tool is called "Wireless KeyView".
- If you're using a wireless router, you can also find the wifi password by logging into the router's admin interface using its IP address. You can find the IP address by going to command the prompt and typing "ipconfig" and look for "looking Gateway" under the wifi network you are connected to. Then, you can typically find the wifi password under the wifi or wireless settings page.
- If you are the owner of the network and you forgot your wifi password, you can check the back of the router, modem, or the manual you got along with the router. The wifi password is usually printed on a label on the bottom or back of the device.
Find the connected Wi-Fi password using CMD
You can use the command-line interface (CLI) in Windows to view the password for a wireless network you are currently connected to. Here's how you can do it:
1. Open the Command Prompt by typing "cmd" in the search bar and clicking on the "Command Prompt" app.
2. Type the following command and press Enter:
netsh wlan show profile
This will list all the wireless networks that you've previously connected to.
3. To view the password for a specific network, type the following command and press Enter:
netsh wlan show profile [network name] key=clear
Make sure to replace "[network name]" with the name of the wireless network you want to view the password for.
4. Look for the "Key Content" field in the output. This is where the password for the network will be listed.
Note: You must be connected to the wifi network in order to get the password using this method and also this works only on windows system.
